PROJECT ADELANTE is a library services and technology act grant awarded to the Eastern Shore Regional Library for improving services to the growing Latino community on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

The Eastern Shore Regional Library (ESRL) is collaborating with public library professionals from the eight county libraries (Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, Worcester) and other service providers on Marylandís Eastern Shore to improve the delivery of information and critical services to the areaís Latino immigrant community. The project includes three main stages: first, assessing needs with ethno-surveying and focus group discussions across the eight counties that serve the targeted population; second, designing and implementing a marketing plan for libraries to meet the needs; finally, evaluating outcomes.

This grant is funded by the Division of Library Services & Development/Maryland State Department of Education (DLDS) and the Institute of Museum & Library Services (IMLS).
